Our clients at Elves Behavin’ Badly asked us to strengthen brand recognition, and make sure EBB is front of mind for parents looking to share pranks with their kids at Christmas. So, we created a world bigger than our pint-sized product. A rich opportunity for back-stories, world-building and immersion – welcome to the fictional town of Elftoria.
There was only one way to introduce audiences to this world, and that was by electing its mayor - comedy icon and relatable parenting figure, Josh Widdicombe.
We created two spots, one in which Josh gives his mayoral address, and another for cinema-goers, as Josh announces his support for the arts. But the elves had other ideas.
