An award-winning gaming experience for horror-lovers to celebrate the release of Talk To Me.
Role: Ideation, running creative sessions with client, crafting awards submission
Altitude’s indie horror flick was set to release in the same month as two cinematic behemoths, a.k.a. Barbenheimer. We had to grab audience attention, and not let go.
Because we identified gamers as an audience already gripped by the horror genre, we knew we had to tap into this cultural sphere. We crafted an experience especially for the fans, allowing them to play the plot by reimagining the storyline of Talk to Me within Fortnite, and creating the film’s setting in the popular Deadpines map. Gamers were challenged to hold the hand, before hell was unleashed…
This activation not only proved a hit with gamers and film-goers - wracking up 1.5m plays, and making Talk To Me one of the highest grossing horror films of the year - but it also resonated with industry bodies, making it Havas Media Network’s most-awarded project of the year.
Its accolades include awards from Creative Circle, Campaign Media Week, Digiday, The Shorty Awards, and a feature on Cannes Lions’ ‘Love The Work’.
